After making headlines for setting a record of all clearing 30 out of 30 candidates in the IIT JEE Advanced examinations held this year, Super 30 founder Mathematician Anand Kumar recently urged Indian-Americans to contribute to make Indian progress in education.
Indian-Americans must contribute more to make India the world leader in the field of knowledge, Super 30 founder Mathematician Anand Kumar said during the India Day parade at Madison Square Monday in New York.
Here’s what Super 30 founder said:
“Now, we all should come together to help India achieve its old status of world leader in the field of knowledge,” said Anand Kumar in a recent PTI report.
India has rich legacy in the field of education:
Moreover, Anand Kumar said India always has had a rich legacy in the field of education and “we must contribute to see our country world leader in this knowledge era.”
Further, speaking organised by the Federation of Indian Association, Kumar said that it was good to witness so many members of the Indian community holding important positions in the US.
Meanwhile, as said by Kumar, Super 30 has completed its 15 years of journey during which it has sent 396 out of 450 candidates to IIT.
About Super 30:
Established in 2002, Super 30 is a pioneering initiative that has ushered in a silent social revolution through mainstreaming of children belonging to the economically backward sections of society by empowering them with quality education to help clear IIT-JEE, the entrance examination for IITs.
So far, more than 400 Super 30 students — from the poorest sections of society and indifferent schooling mentored by Anand and looked after by his family — have made it to various IITs.
