Honor 7X to Be an Amazon-Exclusive in India, Registrations Now Open

  • Honor 7X has now been listed on Amazon India
  • Amazon India is offering prizes to select registrants
  • The availability would set for January 8

Honor 7X will be launched in India in December as the company begins its renewed efforts to get to the top slot in the Indian smartphone market. The company has promised that the Honor 7X price in India will be ‘unbeatable’, and it has now emerged that the handset will be launched an Amazon-exclusive in India, at least online. Honor 7X has been listed on Amazon India as an exclusive offering and registrations have started without many launch details. The company’s Global President George Zhao had already confirmed it will also release the phone via offline channels as well.

Amazon has listed the Honor 7X without explicitly mentioning any details about its price or availability. However, the terms and conditions page reveals that the registrations will close on December 27, so it is likely that the handset will go on sale towards the end of the year. The company is giving away a bunch of prizes to registrants who buy the handset, including free trips, free Honor 7X units, powerbanks and earphones. The list of winners of these prizes will be announced on January 8, and prizes awarded by February 5.

Honor 7X specifications and features

Debuted in China last month, the Honor 7X is the successor to the Honor 6X. The smartphone has a thin-bezel, 5.93-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio and full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution. The dual-SIM handset is powered by an octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 659 chipset, along with 4GB of RAM. It packs a 3340mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat-based EMUI 5.1 custom skin.

The Honor 7X sports a dual-camera setup with 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors on the rear and an 8-megapixel camera sensor on the front. The smartphone comes in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants; all have expandable storage via microSD card (up to 256GB) through a hybrid dual-SIM configuration.

The 32GB Honor 7X is available in China at CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs. 12,800), while its 64GB model is priced at CNY 1,699 (approximately Rs. 16,700) and the top-of-the-line variant is available at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 19,700).
